I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard phrases like “you’re so lucky to do what you do” and you’re very privileged to have a job like yours”. No, no, no, no, no. If you’ve ever said this to someone working in the Culture and Heritage Sector, STOP IT! It’s hugely insulting.We’ve worked very hard, made sacrifices, faced challenges (especially in the last 15 years) and above all, we are good at what we do. In short, if we are doing what we do, in a very competitive sector, it’s because we are good at it. The “you’re lucky” and you’re privileged” view has systematically served to devalue the jobs we perform and their value to society.So next time you talk to someone in the culture and heritage sector feel free to congraturle them on doing an important job or even tell them how much you admire or envy what they do, but don’t tell them they’re lucky or privileged. Special Post today: Celebrating St. David's Day to all my fellow Welsh people all over the world.St. David's last message before he died is one that totally floored me when I found out about it. OK, so it may not be scientifically proven to be true, but it will do for me. It's a message that speaks to 4 elements of Mental Fitness for a modern age and also the framework I am so proud to have created 11 years ago - which also has a Welsh connection: The Dilyn WayTM Framework. Success Leaves CluesToday I am talking about two things all top leaders in our industry, i.e. top producing REALTORS have in common, and one of them is to attend events. Let me share with you why the common reasons given by agents why they cannot attend are actually not valid and holding them back. Stop sabotaging your success! Remember: Success leaves clues!

Where are you on a comfort level of being able to say “no”? ⚖️ If we look at a quick scale with 1 being that you can’t do it/never do it and 10 is that you have mastered saying no - where do you sit on this scale? 🗯️What is this telling you? What will you do?😧Saying “no” is a common subject raised in my coaching practice and it requires accountability.
