Styles announced his One Night Only in New York concert on May 2, 2022. “Harry’s House Live From New York. May 20th,” he captioned an Instagram post of the concert poster. The concert, which will have a second show, One Night Only in London, four days later on May 24, 2022, is in support of Styles’ forthcoming third studio album Harry’s House, due out on May 20, 2022 (on the same day as his “One Night Only in New York” concert.)
Styles – who released his lead single from Harry’s house“As It Was”, March 2022 – spoke in an interview with about the meaning of the album title Better houses and gardens in April 2022. “You don’t get a feeling of home from a house,” he said at the time. “It’s more of an internal thing. You can tell if you stop for a minute.” Styles also told the magazine how his relationship with sex and sexuality has changed over the years.
“For a long time, it felt like my sex life was the only thing I owned,” he said. “I was so ashamed of it, ashamed of the idea that people even knew I was having sex, let alone with whom. Back then, there was still the kiss-and-tell stuff. Figuring out who to trust was stressful. But I think I got to a point where I was like, ‘Why am I ashamed? I’m a 26-year-old man who is single’; it’s like, yeah, I’m having sex.”
Although the first two albums by Styles, Harry Styles and fine linereached number one on the Billboard 200 chart, Styles said Better houses and gardens that he doesn’t feel the same pressure for Harry’s House to have similar success. “After all, if this album doesn’t become a commercial success, it doesn’t feel like my life is over,” he said. “I just want to do things that are right, that are fun, in terms of the process, that I can be proud of for a long time, that my friends can be proud of, that my family can be proud of, that my kids will be be proud one day.”
