MINNEAPOLIS Taste of Minnesota

Nicollet Mall & Washington Avenue
It’s not *just* food (though that is certainly going to be plentiful). What can you do with your kids besides eating? Saturday’s noon concert is family-favorite Koo Koo. There’s also a Family Fun Area rife with performers, inflatables, face painters, puppies to meet and even a zip line. July 6 & 7, 2024, 11am-8pm. FREE admission.

Featured Minneapolis wading pool: Waite Park

Don’t forget that splash pads are a perfect place to cool off without the full investment of a day at the pool. This week we highlight the splash pad at HUSET PARK WEST in Columbia Heights. Many outdoor pools in the Twin Cities offer special tot swim hours so littler ones can get some splash time in before the big kids arrive. You can find these tot swims at the following pools this weekend:

MINNEAPOLIS Ard Godfrey House Tour

20-minute public tours of the oldest remaining wood-frame home in Minneapolis-St Paul are offered starting this weekend. They’re short enough to take young children to and the park is a pleasant place for a picnic with a grocery nearby if you need to grab lunch first. Open July 6 & 7, 2024, 1-4pm. FREE.

Home Depot Kids Workshops

1520 New Brighton Blvd, Minneapolis, MN 55413
The first Saturday of each month is workshop day at Home Depot. Kids get a kit to build, apron and pin while supplies last; adults must accompany their kids. Please pre-register. This weekend, kids can build a mini soccer foosball game. July 6, 2024, 9am-12pm.
